The film tells the story of a farm hand who tries to tame his employer's mules and woo his employer's daughter at the same time. The film stars June Haver, Lon McCallister, Walter Brennan, Anne Revere and Natalie Wood. The film was adapted by F. Hugh Herbert from the novel of the same name by George Agnew Chamberlain. It was directed by Herbert.
